Red River Blue (Deluxe Version)
Attention Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera – good thinkin’ signing back up for a second helping of The Voice. The show’s country star coach Blake Shelton’s sixth studio release, Red River Blue, scored the singer his highest-charting album to date, selling 116,000 copies in its first week. This is great for Shelton, but also comforting for whatever album Cee Lo, Maroon 5, and Xtina drop next. Check out the rest of the Top 10 albums, and see how last week’s chart-topper Beyonce faired in her LP 4’s third week out below.
Alt rockers Incubus nabbed the runner-up spot with their new album If Not Now, When, while there appears to be room for more than one country singer in the Top 10 — Jason Aldean slides to #7, while Chris Young debuts at the Kelly Clarkson collaborator’s former spot at #4.
Adele’s 21 remains strong at #3, and Beyonce’s 4 slides down from #1 to #5. (So much for keeping her spot at the top for four weeks straight to fit in with the whole “4″ theme.)
Eminem and Lady Gaga finally fall out of the Top 10, as Hell: The Sequel drops to #11 and Born This Way to #13.
