Owl City lies a long ways from Hollywood, but that didn’t stop The Hollywood Reporter from checking in with the bright and beautiful Adam Young (aka the electro-pop artist behind the one-man bird town) about his late night debut on Jimmy Kimmel this Wednesday and the success that has no doubt left him wonderstruck —not to mention the enviable experience of riding in a DeLorean in his “Deer In The Headlights” video. Find out what else is up in Owl City after the jump.
About his Doc-Brown-and-Marty-McFly-inspired video, Young says, “We came up with some incredible concepts, pulling from Back to the Future and the 80s in general. Shooting the video was a blast and I can’t believe I got to drive the actual DeLorean from the old films. As a big fan of the trilogy, it was kind of a dream come true. I texted my friends and made them quite jealous.” (Yeah, us too.)
And on his ever-increasing success as a musical artist:
“Outside the States, the band is absolutely massive in Indonesia and the Philippines. For a small-town boy, it’s crazy.”
