Pia Toscano Debuts First Single, “This Time,” At American Idols Live Tour Kick-Off

Before Pia Toscano‘s first single, “This Time,” drops officially next week, she debuted the Ester Dean-penned song at last night’s (July 6) American Idols Live! tour kick-off in West Valley City, Utah.
“This Time” sounds like a good old fashion kiss-off track where Pia’s put up with her man’s drama too long and now she’s breaking out to reclaim her life. “I’m mad as hell and won’t take it no more/My bags are packed at the back of your door,” she sings at one point in the song.
Who knows if the studio version of the song will make it feel a little less faux-Beyoncé-by-way-of-Jordin Sparks-ish. But, as expected, Pia is belting her little heart out all over it.
