AdeleSince its February 22 release (in the States), Adele’s sophomore LP 21 has spent a total of 12 of its 24 chart weeks in the #1 position on the Billboard Top 200 — including this week! That’s at least some good news for XL Recordings, the indie parent label of MTV VMAs nominee Adele in the UK, which lost a large portion of its stock in a warehouse fire caused by rioting in the London borough of Enfield earlier this week.

Adele’s album was recently certified triple Platinum by the RIAA. The record has now tied with Santana’s Supernatural, which also spent a dozen weeks at the top between 1999 and 2000.
Meanwhile, with “Rolling In The Deep” descending down the Hot 100 after spending nearly two months at #1, the 21 ballad “Someone Like You” is making its way up the iTunes download roundup. Today the former UK chart-topper is currently at #41 at the digital store.
