Glee
Gleeks, if all the back and forth about whether or not your favorite 'Glee' cast members will be leaving the show after the upcoming season wraps has left you confused and concerned, executive producer Ryan Murphy's recent statement about the fate of the 'Glee' cast should provide some much-needed clarification.

Murphy has set the record straight and apparently no one was fired and no one is leaving the hit musical show.

The exec initially announced that stars Lea Michele (Rachel), Cory Monteith (Finn) and Chris Colfer (Kurt) would graduate from McKinley High and end their run on the Fox series at the end of the upcoming season.

However, Murphy recently told Deadline that the stars' departures were contingent on plans for a spin-off series, which has since been put on hold.

Murphy explains his take on all the drama surrounding the actors' fates insisting, "I think that some of those actors' representatives spun it in a certain way, to be quite honest, I don't understand."

Murphy continued, "We weren't allowed to talk about a spin-off. It was too premature. We didn't want to do it then. The idea was to do it this fall when Glee gets back on the air. Then, to pick up and read the actors saying, 'We found out we were fired from Twitter'. All of us, the studio, the network, were like, 'OK, that isn't exactly cool,' because we involved all three of them in that decision."

"So then what happened is that we decided, 'OK, let's not do it.' So that's where we are today," Murphy revealed. The producer said there are plans to revisit the idea of a spin-off, which would focus on the Gleeks' post-graduation move to New York City, by April or May of 2012.

"We wanted it to get people away from this idea that the actors were fired, which is ludicrous," he added to put a final point on the matter.
