This just in -- an early studio recording of Britney Spears' 'Hold It Against Me,' without the assistance of Auto-Tune, has found its way onto the internet -- and turns out Brit Brit really can sing!

Thanks to the advent of vocal-correcting aid Auto-Tune and a notorious reputation for blatant lip syncing, Britney has been booed and bashed by critics and fans alike, and labeled as a singer who can't actually sing. But a recently revealed recording of Brit laying down the vocals for monster 'Femme Fatale' lead single 'Hold It Against Me,' before the application of Auto-Tune, has come to the rescue.

The girl can actually carry a tune, and there's arguably not much of a difference between this version and the finished studio single. We haven't had this much faith in Brit Brit's vocal abilities since her prodigious Star Search performance at the tender age of 10, nearly 20 years ago!
