the rapper will be hitting the stage at the 2011 MTV Video Music awards to support the set. The 2011 VMAs will take place on August 28 in Los Angeles, California.
The timing of the big performance, which has yet to be confirmed by the cable station, works perfectly for Lil Wayne’s new release date. Tha Carter IV will make its way to stores a day later on August 29.
Nominations and perhaps an official announcement on the first set of performers, will be announced by MTV on July 20.
