Justin Bieber Tops List of Wealthiest Teen Stars

Remember the cartoon 'DuckTales,' in which miserly Scrooge McDuck would swim through piles of gold coins? Justin Bieber probably doesn't -- the show wrapped in 1990, four years before he was born -- but according to People's list of 2010's top-earning teen stars, the singer is plenty rich enough to backstroke through his bucks.

As People reports, Bieber earned $53 million last year, narrowly besting second-place finisher Miley Cyrus, who hauled in $48 million. The well-coiffed Canadian's fortune stems not just from record sales, but also the success of his perfume line and 3D concert film.

After Cyrus, it's quite a drop-off to third place, as Nick Jonas pulled in a relatively paltry $12.5 million. If he goes diving into his money pit, he's liable to hurt himself.

Rounding out the top 5 are Will Smith's kids, Jaden and Willow, who reportedly made $9 million each. Taylor Lautner and Selena Gomez followed with $8.5 million and $5.5 million, respectively. Mere doggy paddlers, all of them.
